Stephanie FalcianoStephanie Falciano holds a BA from Hofstra University in dance and MA in School Counseling from Hofstra University.
She toured China in 1992 and continued dancing abroad with several touring companies, performing in England and Netherlands until 1999. She also attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in 1997, and acted in several student films for Hofstra TV.
She started competing professionally in International Latin and American Rhythm getting ranked #1 nationally in the United States Rising Star Championship in American Rhythm Division in 1998. She has also competed in the Theater Arts Division placing first at the American Star Ball Championship in 5/2003; she is a finalist of the USDC Mambo Championship in 9/2009.
Stephanie made her debut with her current partner, Vincent Antonelli, at the Jeanne Rimsky Theatre for the Michelle Raitzin concert on June 15, 2010 and have been performing in the tri-state area ever since. They received 4th place in their first competition in the Professional Theatre Arts Division at the Constitution State Challenge Dancesport Championship in 10/2010. They continue achieving Finalist placment in American Rhythm and Theater Arts. A few of them include 2nd in the Open American Rhythm in Boston in 9/2013, and 4th in theatre arts at the Philadelphia festival 4/2014. In May of 2014, they placed 4th in the Professional Showdance and were finalists in the Professional Rising Star at the American Star Ball. They were finalists at NJ State Open in 10/2014 in the Rising Star American Rhythm (cha cha, rumba, swing, bolero, mambo) and 3rd in the Professional Showdance. They recently received 1st place at Kings Ball on 11/29/2014 in the Professional Showdance.
Stephanie formalized her ballroom dance training by obtaining Licentiate Degrees in American Rhythm, American Ballroom, International Ballroom and Latin, and Theater Arts from the International Society of Teachers of Dance USISTD and USTA.
Stephanie has featured in over 20 episodes of a Ballroom/Latin Public Cable TV Instructional program broadcast over Long Island and New Jersey hosted by Alfonso Triggiani, and conducted invited workshops and performances throughout Long Island, New York and New Jersey.
Stephanie Falciano has been a dance teacher for 20 years and currently owns and runs her own school "Stephanie’s Dance with Us" in Syosset, for children and adults, training candidates for ISTD Certifications, competitions and social occasions. She is also a teacher of dance at the Bronx Public School System since 2008.
